The 2020 Homecoming theme is “Road Trip” and will take place the week of September 28th through October 2nd. The Homecoming game will be played against the Gallatin Bulldogs (red & black). The Varsity Cheerleaders have planned theme-related dress up days for students and faculty to participate in all week long leading up to Friday night’s game. Milan businesses can once again compete in the 3rd Annual window decorating contest, judging will take place on October 1st at 2:00pm.
This year’s homecoming festivities will be kicked off with a community pep rally on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 7:00 at Cal Hubbard Field. The guest speaker for that evening will be Mrs. Brooke Dodson. Brooke was a member of the 2004 State Ladycat Softball team, and currently serves the district as the Instructional Tech Director. The Homecoming Queen coronation will also take place that evening.
On Friday, October 2nd, school will release at 12:15 pm, approved parade entrees (forms can be found here: https://5il.co/l50w) should NOT line up until 12:45 pm and should be in place by 1:15 pm. The parade will begin at 2:00 pm and will travel the traditional route: starting behind the school, turning north on Market St, and around the square. Participation is encouraged by everyone. The Grand Marshals of this year’s parade is the Milan C-2 2004 State Ladycat Softball team. These individuals will also be inducted as the third class of the Milan C-2 Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on the sideline during halftime of the football game on Friday night. The Homecoming Queen and her court will take the field prior to the beginning of the game.
